Housing stability is the foundation of economic mobility. The East End Civic Association works alongside residents to increase access to housing education, homeownership, and real estate–based wealth building while helping families navigate complex systems with confidence.
ABOUT
What We Focus On
Through community education, advocacy, and brick-and-mortar development, the East End Civic Association supports residents in understanding and accessing housing opportunities that promote stability and generational wealth. We provide guidance through lending and homeownership processes, address barriers rooted in historical disinvestment, and ensure residents are informed, prepared, and positioned to make sustainable housing decisions. Our work centers resident voice and prioritizes long-term outcomes over short-term fixes.

Teante Gray
Director of Economic Mobility & Homeownership Pathways
Stable housing strengthens families, neighborhoods, and the local economy. By supporting pathways to ownership and stability, we help residents build assets, remain rooted in their community, and create opportunities that last beyond one generation.
Volunteers and donations play an important role in supporting community-led efforts that strengthen neighborhoods, expand opportunity, and uplift resident voices.
Whether you’re interested in supporting events, programs, outreach, or behind-the-scenes work, your time, skills, and donations help move our mission forward.

More Ways We Show Up
Everything we do is rooted in six core pillars. These focus areas help us turn community voices into action, address challenges holistically, and ensure the East End continues to grow with intention, equity, and care.
